Inception is a 2010 science fiction film directed by Christopher Nolan, written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan. The story centers on a thief who steals corporate secrets through the use of dream-sharing technology.
The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Cobb, a professional thief who commits corporate espionage by infiltrating the subconscious of his targets. Cobb and his team are hired to perform an inception on Saito, a Japanese tycoon who wants to break up his competitor's company. The team consists of Cobb and Ariadne, who devises the plan for him; Eames, an expert forger; Yusuf, a chemist/assassin; and Arthur, an extractor who can bring people safely out of dreams.
Inception was nominated for eight Academy Awards including Best Picture but did not win any Oscars at the 83rd Academy Awards ceremony held on February 27th, 2011.
